A comparative study of the laws and regulations of personal injury compensation on different modes of transport in China finds that the laws and regulations are mutually contradictory and outdated that they no longer provide adequate damage compensation to passengers. It is suggested that the laws and regulations must be amended from six aspects to ensure the adequacy and certainty of damage compensation.
