The functional translation theory is a theoretical system of multi-translation standard led by Skopos. The theory broadens the field of translation studies. The author introduces the functional translation theory in the study of the business English translation and expounds the guiding role of the theory in the study of business English translation. The author believes that the study of the theory can improve the business text translation quality and academic research position and consolidate the theoretical foundation of the business translation study; at the same time, it also has some reference value for the theoretical study of Chinese translation.
