Misconduct and Correction of the Government Role in Mass Disturbances Triggered by Doctor-Patient Conflicts: Take the Solving Process of “Nanping Medical Disturbance” as an Example

  • Mass disturbances triggered by the doctor-patient conflicts are a concrete manifestation of social contradictions in the medical field during the social transition period. As a vindicator of social public order, the government should play a leading role in coordinating and solving the conflict between doctor and patient; however, in real life, the government behavior is not to our satisfaction. Taking the "Nanping medical disturbance" as an example, the paper analyzes the government attitude and behavior, points out the misconducts of the government in coordinating and solving the conflict between doctor and patient, then puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to regulate the behavior of the government and develop the harmonious doctor-patient relationship.
