As an essential mode of translation talents cultivating, translation teaching mainly aims at developing the students-translation competence. This paper argues that the integration of the objectivist paradigm and the constructivist paradigm, in accordance with the principle that teaching model is determined by the teaching aim and contents, is a new kind of competence-oriented translation teaching model.
