The way of oral test is one of the important characteristics in preparatory education in France.The paper illustrates the meaning of the oral test in preparatory education in France. It makes a study and research on the history,the form of organization, evaluation criteria, validity and reliability of the oral test and takes the ECPK as an example to make a statistical analysis, elaborates the importance of oral test in preparatory of engineering education,especially the importance of engineering education in China, provides suggestions for engineering education in China.
