Development of the fieldbus technology

  • A brief review of fieldbus standard was given. In our country, controller area network, foundation fieldbus, profibus and devicenet were prevalent fieldbus technologies in the field of industry process control. Development trends of these fieldbus technologies in recent years were introduced. The emphasis was placed on the competition in industry ethernet. Current situation and characteristic of fieldbus were analyzed to present some suggestions in fieldbus application.
