Abstract�� The tensile performances after high velocity impact of two kinds of two-dimensional woven reinforced composite laminates often used in helicopter structures were analyzed. As for high velocity impact damage characteristics of composite laminates, a finite element model, using commercial software and damage cumulation method, was established to simulate the damage propagation and breakage under tensile load in two-dimensional woven reinforced composites laminates after high velocity impact. The simulation results were compared with experiential formula results to verify this model. It shows that they are well coordinate, and the model is relatively simple and intuitionistic to estimate damage propagation and residual tensile strength, which offers important reference for the two-dimensional woven reinforced composite laminates damage tolerance analysis after high velocity impact.
