Abstract�� The advances in the study on the dynamic plastic response and failure of structure modeling the aerospace vehicle subjected to intense dynamic loading are reviewed. Attention is focused on the basic research progress made by the authors and their cooperators in recent years in the study by using rigid-perfectly plastic and/or elastic-perfectly plastic models as well as the relevant experimental observations.
