Abstract�� The ASUM+ scheme is applied to numerically simulate the shock-shock interference flow around a semiglobe under steady oncoming flow. The results show that the interference flow is inherently unsteady. The complicated flow structures of an unsteady supersonic jet behind the bow shock are analyzed and a new formation mechanism of the unsteady effect of the shock-shock interference flow is proposed.
