Network QoS Model Supporting CIPOA

摘要: 随着Internet的发展,传送网络的服务质量QoS(Quality of Service)迅速成为解决实时多媒体应用问题的焦点.向不同类型的用户业务提供敏感于不同透明属性和不同等级的服务质量,也正是ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode)网络的重要特征之一.利用区分服务的思想,将IP应用业务分类与ATM网络服务类型进行一定程度的对应关系映射,并通过不同的QoS参数协商来完成对不同应用数据的区分服务策略,最终在NS2(Network Simulator II)模拟平台上实现了基于CIPOA(Classical IP over ATM)分类标记协议的园区网服务质量控制模型.Abstract: With the recent explosive growth of the Internet, the QoS (Quality of Service) in the data transmission plays an important role in the real-time and multimedia applications. And it is one of the crucial features of ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) networks to provide different QoS to different user-s applications with diverse transparent attributes and grades. With the idea of the Differentiated Services, this paper maps some IP applications to appropriate classes of service in ATM, designs the Differentiated Services policy by different QoS parameters, and implements the Network QoS Model in the NS2 simulator on the base of the Differentiated Services Code Point protocol in CIPOA (Classical IP over ATM).
