Passive TDOA location algorithm for eliminating location ambiguity

摘要: 消除无源时差定位系统中存在的定位模糊是一直倍受关注的问题.通过理论分析和仿真实验证明,4变量算法虽可以消除定位模糊但其定位精度不高,不适合工程应用.以传统时差定位方法为基础,提出了一种多个子系统融合的定位算法.由于该算法能够充分利用观测站提供的冗余测量信息,所以其定位精度高于4变量算法,而且还可以消除定位模糊.最后,通过仿真实验验证了该方法的可行性和有效性.Abstract: The problem of eliminating location ambiguity in passive time difference of arrival(TDOA) systems is considered. The accuracy analysis and the simulation results of four-variable algorithm show that its performance is poor regardless of the capability of eliminating location ambiguity. Based on the traditional TDOA location algorithm, a subset fusion algorithm of multiple subsystems was presented. The proposed algorithm can fully utilize the redundant information come from passive sensors, so it not only can eliminate location ambiguity, but also improve the location accuracy. In comparison with the four-variable algorithm, subset fusion algorithm of multiple subsystems is superior to the alternative algorithm in terms of location accuracy. The simulation results prove that the new algorithm is effective and practicable.
